Stoic and Versus Evil have announced the release date for The Banner Saga 3, the finale of the Viking strategy RPG trilogy. The game will arrive on July 24, 2018, on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Mobile platforms are planned to launch later in the year.

Pre-order incentives have also been announced. The game will arrive digitially in three tiers: Standard, Deluxe, and Legendary. The standard version will cost $24.99/£18.74/€24.99. The Deluxe Edition will cost $29.99 and include the game's original soundtrack, a world map, and the "Gold Wasp" in-game title. Finally, the Legendary Edition will cost $39.99 and will include everything in the Deluxe edition as well as the "Shadow Walker" Heroic title, the "Petrie Clan Ring" legendary item, and the digital novel Gift of Hadrborg.

Those who pre-order on PC will also receive the "Dredge Ally Pack", which will offer an exlusive Dredge Stoneguard character, a unique combat ability and dredge item, exclusive Dredge Heraldry, the "Shield Cleaver" Heroic title, and a The Banner Saga 3 overture track. 505 Games will also be producing a physical package for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One that will contain all three The Banner Saga games along with a mini art book, poster, "Best of" soundtrack, and an in-game digital item. That package will be available on July 24, 2018, in North America and July 27, 2018, in Europe.
