During Sony's PlayStation Media Showcase, Capcom revealed a new entry in its long running Monster Hunter series. Monster Hunter: World will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and will be the first game in the series to get a simultaneous worldwide release on the two consoles in early 2018, with the PC release following later.
Monster Hunter: World will retain most of the aspects familiar to series fans, such as a crafting system where players use materials collected from slain monsters. The environment and other wildlife can also have a hefty impact during missions, which can be undertaken solo or online with up to three allies.
