AeternoBlade is a sidescrolling action RPG from Corecell Technologies which was initially released for Nintendo 3DS before being ported to PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4, with a Steam release planned soon. Corecell is now looking at releasing a sequel, AeternoBlade II, and has turned to Indiegogo to secure funding for its development.

Set some time after the events of the previous game, AeternoBlade II begins with previous protagonist Freyja living a peaceful life in her village. However, dimension rifts soon appear, apparently caused by her prior manipulation of the timeline, and she sets out to fix them. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the world, two warriors Bernard and Felix head to Eternity Fortress attempting to prevent a disaster predicted to result from a dark rift in the sky.

Rather than just having Freyja be playable as in the first game, the sequel will let players control Freyja, Bernard, or Felix. Each character has his or her own storyline and unique abilities. Freyja has the ability to rewind time for various things, including enemy actions, as well as a warping skill where she can return to a placed marker to solve puzzles or escape combat. Bernard, meanwhile, has the ability to freeze time and unleash a sneak attack from it, and can also destroy certain obstacles. Finally, Felix can record an action and then warp briefly back in time to summon a duplicate that does that action. He can also use his whip blade to hook onto far away objects.

Corecell Technologies is looking for $30,000 in funding for AeternoBlade II, with the campaign running until June 17, 2017. The game is being developed for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
