THQ Nordic unveiled Darksiders III this week. The third game in the series is being developed by Gunfire Games, a studio that includes various members of the development staff from Vigil Games, which created Darksiders and Darksiders II.

With the previous two games focusing on the Horsemen of the Apocalypse War and Death, Darksiders III puts players in the role of fellow Horseman Fury. She is tasked by the Charred Council with hunting down and disposing of the Seven Deadly Sins and helping restore the balance of good and evil. Fury is a mage and uses magic to supplement attacks with her whip.

Darksiders III is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One with a planned release of sometime in 2018. The game's official website is live with a few additional details.
