Sega has revealed the release date in North America and Europe for Yakuza Kiwami. The game will be available exclusively for PlayStation 4 on August 29, 2017, with the European release being published by Deep Silver. Both physical and digital versions will be available, priced at $29.99/£29.99/€34.99, with physical pre-orders and launch copies coming in a special SteelBook case.

Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the very first game in the series, which was originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2006. It is the second game to be released in the west this year, following the prequel Yakuza Zero. The latest game in the series, Yakuza 6, is planned for release in North America and Europe in 2018.
