Level-5 has released a new combat video for the upcoming Yo-kai Watch 3. The video shows off one of the game's quick battles, which demonstrates the different views and tactical options available through the upper and lower screens.
In Yo-kai Watch 3, the standard lineup has been replaced with a 3x3 grid that the player's Yo-kai can manuever around. Yo-kai will fight on their own, but through the player's input can be made to move to more strategic positions around the grid. Additionally, up to three Yo-kai can be reserved and swapped in for Yo-kai in the battle.
Yo-kaiWatch 3 releases exclusively on 3DS in Japan on July 18, 2016. The game will come in two versions, Sushi and Tempura, and takes place in both Japan and the US. There has been no word yet of an English release, butboth versions of Yo-kai Watch 2 have been confirmed for North America on September 30, 2016.
