In its most recent Kickstarter update, inXile Entertainment has announced that Torment: Tides of Numenera has been delayed from 2016 to the first quarter of 2017. The developer stated that the game is now content complete and that the cause of the delay was due to localization efforts. As a consolation, all backers of the game now have access to the game's Early Access Beta, which covers the first act of the game.

Backed by a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, Torment is the spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment and is based off of Monte Cook's Cypher System ruleset and Numenera science fantasy setting. The game is currently in Early Access on Steam for $44.99/£30.98/€44.99.
