Gaijinworks revealed that it has been working on a localisation for Namco Bandai's Summon Night 6: Lost Borders, the latest title in the tactical RPG series. The announcement comes after Gaijinworks previously released Summon Night 5 for PlayStation Portable in North America. Gaijinworks plans to release the game physically and digitally in North America and digitally-only in Europe in Q1 2017 for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. A limited edition of the game will be made available to order through Gaijinworks' website, details of which will be announced after E3.

Summon Night 6: Lost Borders was released in Japan as part of the series fifteenth anniversary celebrations. The game begins in the cocoon-world of Fillujah, which has a sparse population. It's three main characters — Raj, Amu, and Ist — live in different parts of Fillujah, each with their own mystical companion. Their solitary lives are interupted, however, when an assortment of strangers, many of which are characters from previous Summon Night titles, suddenly fall out of the sky.
