Level Up Labs revealed that it will be releasing an update to its PC tower defence/RPG hybrid Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten. The update, titled Defender's Quest DX, will be released in June 2016 and will be free to all those who own the game. In addition to various gameplay tweaks, the update features a new set of HD sprite and chracter graphics, though players can choose to keep using the original artwork if they wish.

Defenders Quest was originaly released back 2012 and is available for PC and Mac, with those interested able to check out Zach Welhouse's review of the game. Level Up Labs is currently working on a sequel, Defender's Quest II, which is being built on the engine used for Defender's Quest DX.
