Horizon Delayed, Gets Story Trailer and Collector's Edition

Horizon: Zero Dawn

Those hoping to fight off mechanized dinosaurs will have to wait a bit longer to do so. Guerrilla Games has announced that Horizon: Zero Dawn has been delayed until February 28, 2017, for North America, and March 3, 2017, for the UK. The rest of Europe will see the game on March 1, 2017.

With this news came a new story trailer, which goes more in-depth with the backstory of the protagonist Aloy and her journey to discover the secrets of the Old Ones, an extinct and ancient people whose ruins remain scattered across the earth. The trailer also features new environments and gameplay, including some against human enemies.

Pre-orders have also opened for the game's Collector's Edition, which will retail for $119.99 and will feature:

  • A Steelbook case
  • 9" Aloy Statue
  • 48-Page Art Book
  • A voucher for an exlcusive PS4 theme

A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available for $69.99 and will contain a digital art book and a collection of DLC packs for in-game weapons, armor, and items. These items will also be in the Collector's Edition, sans digital art book. Finally, all North American pre-orders from Gamestop and all European pre-orders will come with the Nora Lookout Armor and the Nora Longshot Bow.

Horizon is a new open-world RPG, the first original title from the company since Killzone. The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 4.
