XSEED Games announced that it is partnering with independent developers to bring three titles to consoles in North America. Included in the trio of games is the action RPG Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity, which will be released for PlayStation 4 this fall.

Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity is a fan-created game set in the Touhou universe, which has over fifteen official games, many of which are bullet-hell shooters. Scarlet Curiosity, however, features gameplay inspired by series such as Ys. The game stars the 500-year-old vampire Remilia Scarlet, who returns from an unsuccessful search for a powerful monster only to discover that the monster has found her home first and turned it to ruins. Players take control of Remilia or her maid Sakuya Izayoi as they happily take the opportunity to alleviate their boredom and get revenge.

In addition to Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity, XSEED Games will also be publishing console and handheld versions of side-scrolling adventure title Exile's End and Wayforward Technologies upcoming platformer Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. Exile's End will be released digitally for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Wii U this summer, with Shantae: Half-Genie Hero coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Wii U this fall in both physical and digital editions.
