Choice Provisions announced that Muteki Corporation's Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice will be coming to Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in North America this week, on May 26, 2016. The game, originally released as Dragon Fantasy Book II for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in 2013 before also coming to PlayStation 4, will be available to download through the eShop for $9.99. The game is also planned for release on Steam in the near future.

Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice is the second Dragon Fantasy title, following Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria, which also released for Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in 2015. The Black Tome of Ice features some changes to its original release, including a bestiary, new items, a new boss fight, a difficulty slider, and a reworked opening to make the game friendlier to those who have not played the previous game.
