Today sees the release of New Zealand-based developer Scarlet City Studios' The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance, an episodic online adventure RPG designed primarily with younger gamers in mind. The game's episodes are based on tales from the Bible reimagined in the steampunk setting of Aethasia.

The Aetherlight's software client is available to download for free on PC, iOS, and Android, but access to individual episodes must be purcahsed for $9.99 each. The first episode, Birth of the Resistance, is available at launch with Episode 2: The Resistance Takes Flight planned for release in August.
