Not half a year after releasing its sequel, Nintendo has put the original Xenoblade Chronicles on the North American Virtual Console. This version will be available on the Wii U and priced at $19.99.

Xenoblade Chronicles is the story of Shulk, a young man who lives on one of two giant titans, the Bionis. He eventually comes into the possession of the Monado, a mystical blade that can predict the future. Using the Monado, he embarks on a quest against invaders from the other giant, the Mechonis. The game was originally released in Japan in 2010 before recieving a release in Europe in 2011 and a subsequent release in North America in 2012.
