Idea Factory International announced the release date and released the opening video for Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force, the PlayStation 4 enhanced port of Fairy Fencer F. The game will be released physically and digitally in North America on July 26, 2016, and in Europe on July 29, 2016.

Fairy Fencer F was originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2014 by NIS America before being ported via Steam to PC in 2015 by Idea Factory International. While the original release featured a single story route, Advent Dark Force lets players choose between three different routes. Battles also now feature up to six party members as opposed to four, and there are new difficulty settings and characters.
