Bandai Namco recently released an extended version of its third official Japanese trailer for Tales of Berseria, announcing with it the game's release date in that country. The game's Japanese release, for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, will be on August 18, 2016. Tales of Berseria has been confirmed for release in North America and Europe, where it will be available on PlayStation 4 and PC, but no release date has been announced.

The extended trailer introduces a new character named Eizen. He is second-in-command to Aifread's pirate band and works with main protagonist Velvet in her fight against the Exorcists.
