The first RPG news out of Los Angeles this week comes courtesy of Nintendo, who revealed that Mother will finally be released in North America and Europe. The game will be released for Nintendo Wii U via the Nintendo eShop at 9pm EST today under the title EarthBound Beginnings.

Mother/EarthBound Beginnings was originally released for NES in Japan in 1989. Although its sequel, EarthBound, arrived in North America in 1995, the original game was never before released in English.
