An official North American release date for Omega Force's upcoming Dragon Quest spin-off, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below, has been announced as October 13, 2015, exclusively on PlayStation 4. The release date announcement also comes with news of two limited editions of the game: the Slime Collector's Edition and the Day One Edition.

The Slime Collector's Edition comes in a special treasure chest package and features a Slime Plushie, Slime Key Chain, Slime Lanyard, Slime-themed DLC equipment, and some other in-game items. Meanwhile, the Day One Edition includes the Slime-theme equipment listed previously, such as the Slime Sword, Gooey Gloves, Goomerang, Squishing Rod, and Gungenir. The Slime Collector's Edition is available for pre-order exclusively through Square Enix's online store for $99.99, while the Day One Edition will be available through various retailers with a recommended retail price of $59.99.

Dragon Quest Heroes is similar to Omega Force's previous Hyrule Warriors collaboration with The Legend of Zelda series, but is much more along the lines of an action RPG. A sequel for the game has been announced for release in Japan at some point in the future. A new trailer for the game is also available and can be viewed below.
