2K Games has announced that the reboot of the XCOM series, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, is getting a sequel in XCOM 2. Once again developed by Firaxis Games, the squad combat strategy game will have players running XCOM from their new flying fortress, dubbed the Avenger, as they attempt to reclaim Earth from the occupying alien forces.

The biggest change from Enemy Unknown is that XCOM 2 will be exclusive to PC, Mac, and Linux, with Firaxis citing that they would like to take full advantage of the platform and engage more closely with the modding community. XCOM 2 is set to release in North America and Europe in November 2015.
