The direct sequel to Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, is coming to Steam. Square Enix announced that the title will be released on the service on May 12, 2015 and is priced at US$15.99/CA$22.49/£10.99/€14.49, with a 10% discount available for those who pre-order.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years was originally released for mobile phones in Japan in 2008 before arriving on the Wii Virtual Console worldwide in 2009. The game was also included in the Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection on PSP, released in 2011, before being remade for iOS and Android using the 3D graphics of the DS release of Final Fantasy IV, on which it was released in September 2014. The Steam version is based off of the 3D-graphics iOS and Android release, with some announcement media viewable below.
