Sony is bringing a tide of good news to Vita owners today, as it is announcing the localization of three RPGs for its portable system. Soul Sacrifice Delta, Freedom Wars, and Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines will all be released in North America and Europe later this year. Of these, only Soul Sacrifice Delta has a release date, and will reach stores in North America on May 13 and arrive in Europe on May 14. Also, new trailers are available for both Soul Sacrifice Delta and Freedom Wars, which can be seen below.

Souls Sacrifice Delta is the expanded version of Sony's gory action RPG Soul Sacrifice. It features a wide range of changes and additions, including a new player faction named Grim, new Archfiends for the player to slay, new spells, arenas that feature changing weather and shifting terrain, improved enemy AI, and greater player customization. People who played the original version will be able to carry over their save data into Delta.

Freedom Wars is another game in the monster-hunting action RPG genre, placing the player in a dystopian future. People are born as prisoners condemned to serve a million-year sentence, and must participate in battles against monsters called Abductors in order to rescue civilians if they ever want to be free. The game is built around co-op play, letting four players team up locally or even eight players fight together online.

Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is the localized name for Ore no Shikabane wo Koete Yuke, which was occasionally translated as Over My Dead Body. This is actually the second title in that series, which stare on the PSP. Set in twelfth-century Japan, it tells the story of a clan that has been cursed so that each member will be born, get married, grow old, and die within the span of two years. In order to continue their line and eventually break the curse, members of the clan marry mythical creatures and pass their abilities down to new generations. Anyone curious about the game should read Michael Baker's impression from last year's Tokyo Game Show.
