The Hungarian indie developer NeocoreGames is getting ready to launch a new RPG on PC titled The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. This "gothic-noir steampunk action-RPG" stars the son of Abraham Van Helsing, a major character from Bram Stoker's original Dracula.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is strongly reminiscent of the Diablo series and its many imitators. It features a top-down perspective on high-paced combat and loot-driven mechanics, and will include item crafting, complex level-up mechanics, and four player co-op gameplay. It will also include a ghostly NPC companion who support the player in battle.

NeocoreGames is offering several different options for preordering the game on its official website, ranging from the basic game for $15 to a "Boss Pack" that offers to put a portrait of the player into the game itself for $1000. All preorders of the game will let players into its Closed Beta. The title will be released for the PC in late May. The developers intend to release the game on the Xbox Live Arcade service, but have not given any details about when that may happen.
