The Nintendo DS is not dead yet. Atlus announced today that Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 will be coming to North America. Details from Atlus indicate a similar experience to the original. Devil Survivor 2 will continue to blend tactical RPG movement with turn-based battles once an enemy has been engaged. Players will also have to make tough decisions while interacting with party members. Those choices will shape how those members respond to the hero as well as which ending the player will receive. Combine all that with demon fusion and gamers will be getting a sequel that fans of the original will be easily familiar with.

The game has yet to be released in Japan, with a date of July 2011 planned there, but Devil Survivor 2 will be released in 2012 in North America. For more details on the game, check out Atlus's official web site for the game here.
