Up on the PlayStation Blog, President of Cabybara Games, Nathan Vella, has been sharing new information related to Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes HD. Nathan states that, "Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is our HD love letter to the original game that we released in 2009 to acclaim and awards. It's not often that you get the chance to remake your own game, so we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring this gem to a whole new audience." Vella shares that while the core mechanics haven't changed, there's new additives that make Clash HD the definitive version.
Multiplayer for Clash HD is both local and online in either 1v1 or 2v2 modes. The art has also been completely revamped by the team that did the artwork for Capybara's PlayStation Network and iPhone puzzle title Critter Crunch. Nathan also has stated that battles and adventure mode have stayed completely true to the DS incarnation, so for those double-dipping, this should already be familiar to you. Capybara Games has graciously provided a video that will walk newcomers through the game's overall mechanics. Clash of Heroes HD is set to release on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade on April 12, 2011, two days before the originally scheduled date.
