Eastern European publisher 1C Company and Katauri Interactive have announced a stand-alone expansion to their strategy RPG King’s Bounty: Armored Princess, titled King’s Bounty: Crossworlds. The King's Bounty games focus on a single hero who explores a large world, completing quests and collecting troops in order to fight turn-based tactical battles that resemble those found in the Heroes of Might and Magic series. Armored Princess, a sequel/expansion to the original King's Bounty: The Legend, stars Princess Amelie, who can be classed as a warrior, paladin, or mage.
Crossworlds adds three new campaigns for Amelie to conquer. Champion of the Arena features a series of boss battles, while Defender of the Crown involves troop versus troop combat in a variety of arenas. The more traditional King's Bounty campaign, Orcs in the North, features a plethora of new items, monsters and troop types, and spells. Along with these campaigns, Crossworlds comes with a full-scale game editor.
King's Bounty: Crossworlds will be available for the PC and is scheduled to release in Q3 2010.
