As reported, Final Fantasy VII International was released on the Japanese PlayStation Network about a month-and-a-half ago. International is the definitive Japanese version of the game, releasing after the North American version and adding a fourth disc with extras.

Recently, a listing for Final Fantasy VII popped up on the ESRB's website. The game was rated for the PlayStation 3 and the PSP, pointing to a possible release on the North American PSN. ESRB ratings are never definitive, but this is at least a sign that North America may also be able to download one of the most popular Final Fantasy titles in the series sometime in the future.
