NIS America held a press event today to show off their upcoming line-up. The title of the event was "Holy Drunken Shenanigans, Badman!" Despite the title, NISA had more to show off than just their quirky strategy game, Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!. Quite a few RPGs were announced and dated for release.

The big announcement is the first ever Sakura Wars title to cross the ocean. Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love is officially the fifth of the series, though it contains a new hero for the first time in the series. Unlike the typical tactical game, character interaction plays a major role in the story and on the field. There are six different endings to explore. Sakura Wars will debut in North America this fall.

Two new games have been announced. The first is a port of Disgaea 2 for the PlayStation Portable, named Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. In addition to the content in the PlayStation 2 title, new chapters will be added to this port. Battle elements from Disgaea 3 will also be added, as well as new weapons, items, and skills. Look for Disgaea 2 PSP this fall as well.

The second title is Last Rebellion for the PlayStation 3. Developed by Hitmaker, the game is being called an RPG with action elements. Players can roam around the world and make movements such as in an action game, but once battle begins, the game uses a turn-based system. The main story revolves around a dark tale of revenge.

There are two main characters in Last Rebellion, Nine (male) and Aisha (female). Nine is a Blade whose specialty is physical attacks, and Aisha is a Sealer who uses magic spells to attack & seal enemies. The player can switch back and forth between the two during the battle. The player must strategically choose which character to execute their attacks first. During battle, different body parts can be targeted to disable the enemy. For instance, attacks to the legs will slow them down, while blows to the arms will weaken their attacks. By strategically striking key areas of the body, players can strip the enemy of their ability to fight. Last Rebellion will also be released this fall.

Finally, new media for Phantom Brave: We Meet Again, Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy, and A Witch's Tale have been released and will be posted shortly. In the mean time, NIS America posted information, trailers, and more at their press event page.
