Just a short time ago in Japan, Microsoft held a press conference to highlight some of the big name, upcoming RPGs for the Xbox 360. Along with titles published by Microsoft, Square Enix and Namco Bandai were also in attendance to show off a few titles.

The show began with Namco Bandai demonstrating Tales of Vesperia. In Japan, Vesperia will launch August 7, with Microsoft offering a bundle pack for 37,800 yen featuring a 20GB Premium Xbox 360, a bonus booklet, and a face plate. Vesperia will be released sometime in August for North America, later in the summer for Asia outside of Japan, and Europe will see the game in 2009. After giving a brief demonstration of the game, it was announced that a demo will be coming to Xbox Live, though it was not stated if the demo would be available worldwide.

After Microsoft took a few minutes to feature Mass Effect and Fable 2, Square Enix producer Yoshinori Yamagishi came to the stage. There he announced that the fourth Star Ocean game would be titled Star Ocean: The Last Hope and would be available for the Xbox 360 in 2009. After this announcement, a trailer for the game was shown. In The Last Hope, World War III and weapons of mass destruction have caused humanity to have to search for a new home in space. A blonde haired male and a brown haired female were shown walking through a field of green before the trailer ended with the words "For Xbox 360."

Next up was Hajime Kojima, producer for Infinite Undiscovery. Kojima states that the game is almost complete and will be available in North America on September 2, in Europe on September 5, and in Japan and Asia on September 11. The team then demonstrated some gameplay sequences highlighting the Connect Action system. This system allows the player controlled character to issue commands to party members instead of controlling them directly. More gameplay featured players having to escape from an ogre, having to make decisions about the safest path to take. Also shown was a player battle against a giant dragon, in which players had to make the correct actions to be able to escape. Infinite Undiscovery was described as a very action heavy RPG.

Finally, closing the show was Square Enix's The Last Remnant. Though nothing new was shown for the title, it was announced that The Last Remnant will be released this winter simultaneously in Japan, North America, and Europe. Also, even though this game is planned for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 version will be released first. There is currently no date set for the PlayStation 3 version, though more details were promised for E3.
