In the latest issue of Famitsu, Capcom has revealed that Mega Man Star Force 2 is currently in development for the Nintendo DS. In the article, Capcom announced a contest in which Japanese gamers can design a boss character for the title. Unfortunately for artists and designers outside Japan, the contest is limited to local submissions only.

The original Mega Man Star Force comes in three flavors - Pegasus, Leo, and Dragon - and will hit American retailers in August. The game was developed by the same team that produced the Mega Man Battle Network titles, and features a similar concept and battle system. The online world of Battle Network has since taken to the airwaves and is now wireless, and while combat appears similar, it is now viewed from an over-the-shoulder, chase-view perspective.
