PHILLIP CLAYTON
HEAD OF NEW UPDATES

Square Enix

Square Enix has divulged a few details surrounding its Square Enix 2005 party happening on July 30 and July 31 at Tokyo's Makuhari Messe. On July 30, Square Enix will host stage events for Final Fantasy XII and Grandia III, along with a live musical performance. The Final Fantasy XII event will be a talk show featuring the game's producer as well as some other guests, whose identities have not yet been released.

On the 31st, a playable demo of Final Fantasy XII will be shown off, along with a show titled "Fullmetal Alchemist & Code Age: Commanders." This show will feature a talk show with the Fullmetal Alchemist voice actors, a live performance of the Fullmetal Alchemist theme song, and a new trailer for Code Age. The Final Fantasy XII show on the 31st will be a talk show featuring the game's sound designer, and the game's voice actors.

However, probably the biggest news to come out of the Square Enix camp today was the announcement that it plans on unveiling big news regarding Final Fantasy XII as a part of its stage show. The subject of the "big news" is unknown; it could be an announcement of a more specific release date, or it could be something completely different. Look to RPGamer to provide you with the latest as more details are released.
