Details have recently been released concerning the battle system for Square-Enix's upcoming game Grandia III. The new system will offer several major features not seen in previous Grandia titles, one of which will be the addition of aerial combos. Playing a big role in these new combos will be critical hits, which will serve not only as more powerful attacks but also as launchers to send enemies up into the air. While hovering helplessly, the enemy will be at the mercy of both the hero and the other party members, who will be able join in with their own attacks for extra combo damage.
Also to be introduced in Grandai III will be the Strategy Advice System (SAS). This new feature will have party members giving advice to the hero, as well as making specific requests or offers for assistance during battle.
As more game details are released, RPGamer will be sure to make them available.
