Some new information regarding the battle and transportation systems for Boktai 3 has recently been disclosed. It appears as if the series' third installment will be considerably different than its predecessor, Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django, in both of these areas.
Concerning battles, players will find that magic has been entirely removed. The weapons available now include either a sword or a pair of solar guns. Different types of swords will enable a variety of combination attacks, which can be triggered when the correct buttons are pressed in the correct order.
Transportation has seen a major overhaul as well. No longer will players traverse open, enemy-infested fields on foot; Boktai 3 provides players with their very own bike, which they will ride across numerous open, enemy-infested courses. This bike, available from the very beginning, will probably be affected greatly by solar energy. As the story progresses, a number of different parts will become accessible, allowing for improvement and customization.
Boktai 3 is slated for a summer release in Japan, but so for no North American release has been announced. Stay tuned with RPGamer for more information as it is disclosed.
