On June 19 Square Enix conducted a board of directors meeting and decided to make some small changes to the names of their overseas branches. Square Enix USA, Inc. will be changed to Square Enix Inc., and Square Enix Europe, Ltd. will become Square Enix Ltd. The parent company will retain the title of Square Enix Co., Ltd, and since news stories usually refer to Square Enix as simply "Square Enix", the name change is relatively minor.
The other change at Square Enix is that Vice President Keiji Honda now has a new position on the board of directors. Honda was the President of Enix before the merger, and will now be overseeing Square Enix's Chinese market from Shanghai.
