New illuminating details regarding Konami's upcoming Game Boy Advance title, Zoku Bokura no Taiyo, also known as the sequel to last year's vampire-slaying game Boktai. Like its predecessor, Zoku Bokura no Taiyo will feature a special sensor that collects sunlight, and the amount of solar energy collected will have a dramatic effect on conditions in the game.
However, the sequel has an added twist: players can harness the solar energy for other purposes. Stored sunlight can be used to cast spells or even forge new weapons via a function known as the solar blacksmith. Over 60 solar-powered weapons can be created and tested out on unfortunate foes.
Zoku Bokura no Taiyo is set to arrive in Japanese stores on July 22. Konami has not breathed a word about a North American release.
