Square Enix Latest Finances Looking Up
04.17.2004

ARI LITWIN
STAFF REPORTER

Square Enix

Square Enix recently revised their expected net profit for the financial year ending March 31, and it looks even better then before. Profit forecasts were raised to 8.7 billion yen ($80.5 million) from 8.1 billion yen, which is an increase of expected sales from 56 billion yen to 63 billion yen. This revised outlook is due in part to Final Fantasy XI's success in North America on both PC and PS2, along with the Full Metal Alchemist series being very popular in Japan, in everything from comics, to animation, to a hit PS2 game.

Although the full financial results have yet to be released, this is still good news for the makers of the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series. With E3 coming, Square Enix is set to make 2004 another successful year. Look forward to more in-depth E3 coverage coming in May.
