Banpresto recently announced that Dragon Drive World D Break will make its GameBoy Advance debut in Japan on July 18th. The project is oddly shrouded in secrecy with few details, outside of a few screenshots, having been revealed to the public as of yet.
Dragon Drive World D Break is based on TV Tokyo's anime Dragon Drive in which characters battle each other with dragons in a VR simulation game. Expect the GBA incarnation to follow the same formula as the charming TV series, with colorful, memorable characters, snappy dialogue and a detailed, yet still trippy, storyline. It is unknown whether the player will be taking up the role of the main character, Oozora Reiji, one of his counterparts, or entering the Dragon Drive world as an all new character.
Dragon Drive World D Break looks to continue Banpresto's legacy of anime based RPGs. Despite the recent Japanese announcement, the company has made no mention of a North American release.
