ASCII Entertainment's RPG Maker 2 is headed to North America courtesy of Agetec.
The game allows players to develop their own 3-D role-playing epics with a robust new toolset
that includes character and monster generators, as well as background, special effects and text editors.
The combat engine facilitates turn-based monster encounters, and as with past RPG creation tools, players can script
their own events and dialogue as they cast their sterling fantasy adventures. The game also offers keyboard support through the PS2's USB port.
RPG Maker 2 is scheduled for a North American release during the fourth quarter of 2002. The game was
published in Japan last December, and its predecessor, the original RPG Maker by ASCII, was published for the PSX in 2000.
