Today in Japan, Nintendo announced it had signed a deal with Namco to produce multiple games for the GameCube and Game Boy Advance. The games produced under the partnership will include several RPGs for both consoles. The GameCube will receive an installment of Namco's Tales series in July of 2003, followed by an original RPG with a unique battle system later that year in December. The Game Boy Advance will get Tales of the World:Narikiri Dungeon 2, and an original action RPG based on its Klonoa franchise. Additionally, Namco will produce a port of the SNES RPG Tales of Phantasia . The handheld games are all due out before the end of the year, with Narikiri Dungeon 2 in October, the Klonoa game in November, and the Tales of Phantasia port in December. All dates given refer to the Japanese release date.
