Square and Disney Team Up To Waste Some More Plastic

With Square's recent history of pumping out game-related paraphenelia, and Disney's long-standing affinity for mass-producing toys, lunchboxes, underwear, and kitchen sinks based around characters from its movies, it was probably only a matter of time before Kingdom Hearts merchandise showed up. True to form, the companies will be churning out action figures based on characters from the game, including Sora, Kairi, and Riku. There's a catch, however; there will only be 3000 of each character produced, and each edition will be numbered. Pictured here are two of the figurines.

With the exclusivity of the limited edition established, Square and Disney will naturally be able to charge more for their toys; the action figures will set interested parties back 6800 yen, or approximately $54.00 US. In all likelihood, the figures will be available exclusively in Japan, but there's always a chance the truly avid importer might be able to score an action figure.
