Magical Vacation Details

A few more details have emerged about Magical Vacation, the Game Boy Advance title from Brownie Brown. The game's battle system will be in real time, meaning both parties will be in action at the same time. Whether this means it will have a separate battle screen or follow a more action-based theme is uncertain. Additionally, the game will include gamelink support, which will allow friends to play simultaneously. How exactly this will work is unclear, but since Brownie Brown is comprised of former Square employees, who worked on Secret of Mana, so something along the lines of the two-player mode that game supported seems if not likely, then at least possible. This mode will differ from Secret of Mana, however, in that several quests are specifically intended for multiplayer action.

Magical Vacation had been set for a Spring 2001 Japanese release, but it appears with only 10 more days to achieve that goal it might just slip into summer. The game is currently confirmed for a North American release, but no date has been given as of yet.
