Japanese gamers will get a taste of the North American version of Shenmue, as Sega confirmed earlier this week they will release the game under the title US Shenmue overseas. The dialogue and voices will be in English, and Japanese players will be able to take part in the worldwide ranking mode, which utilizes the English version of the Shenmue Passport. Finally, save data from the title will be available for use in Shenmue II.

Sega plans to release US Shenmue on July 5th. The game will sell for 3000 yen, which is approximately $25.00 US.
