PSO Version 2 Coming to North America; Servers Down
PSO

Sega of America has confirmed that Phantasy Star Online Version 2 will be released in North America, news which will come as little surprise to fans who have been following the upgrade's progress, but marking the first official word of North American release. However, the forthcoming upgrade does require some adjustments to the game's currently running servers, which will be down for some time this week. The server upgrade work began on Tuesday, the 24th, and is scheduled to continue through Friday, the 27th. Phantasy Star Online fans may not be able to connect to the server until the upgrade is completed.

Version 2 of the online Dreamcast title will be released in Japan on May 31st, and although no North American release has been stated, it is expected to be available not long afterward. The upgrade will include various new gameplay features and areas to explore, as well as a large array of new equipment. More specifics on the North American release of Phantasy Star Online Version 2 are expected soon. For further details, refer to RPGamer's continuing coverage of the title.
