Capcom to Release a Multilingual Online RPG for the PC

In a rather surprising move, Capcom has announced an upcoming PC RPG, Raynegard. The game will be a "massively multiplayer" online RPG, similar to the likes of Asheron's Call and EverQuest. What makes Raynegard stand apart from most online RPGs is its multilingual capability. The game can be played in one of five languages: English, French, German, Chinese, or Japanese. Dialog between players will be translated automatically by the game.

Raynegard will be compatible with Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows 2000 operating systems. To play the game, players will connect to a special Raynegard server, which will have a monthly access fee of approximately $10. Although no details are known about Raynegard's virtual world, character classes, or any other gameplay aspects, we know that the game will place a heavy emphasis on teamwork. The game is expected to be released by the end of the year, and although Capcom has not stated that Raynegard would have a simultaneous worldwide launch, it seems likely. Stay tuned to RPGamer for the scoop as soon as Capcom releases any new information concerning the upcoming PC RPG, Raynegard.
