Dragon Quest 7 to Hit Japan Later This Spring

According to Japanese sources, Enix's highly anticipated and frequently delayed Dragon Quest VII is set for a release date of May 18 in Japan. The packaging and inserts for the game are suspected to have already been manufactured. If this is the case, a further delay would be very unlikely.

The Dragon Quest series, which in earlier days rivaled Square's Final Fantasy series as the most popular of console RPGs, is known in North America as the Dragon Warrior series. The last installment of the series to hit North America was the NES classic, Dragon Warrior IV, which was released in 1992. After an eight-year separation, Enix plans to release Dragon Warrior VII in North America late this year. Stay tuned to RPGamer for all the upcoming details on Dragon Quest VII as the news emerges.
