Square L.A. down for the count? (corrected)

Signs that Square's Los Angeles development center is dead are growing.

A couple of weeks ago, PSMOnline reported that 75% of Square L.A.'s workers had been layed off, even in the wake of Parasite Eve's successful launch. Parasite Eve was largely developed at Square L.A.

On the other hand, Square Honolulu has been a reported hotbed of activity, working on both the Final Fantasy Movie and Final Fantasy VIII. Will Square LA return to prominence with a new staff, or will it fade away? No one is sure.
