Darkest Dungeon developer Red Hook Studios revealed some of the details for the game's next upcoming piece of DLC, The Color of Madness. Though the developer did not reveal a release date, it did list the expansion's main features in addition to confirming that it will be released for all platforms Darkest Dungeon is currently available for.

The primary addition is a new environment called the Farmstead, where players will battle through hordes of enemies, which may include foes from the other areas of the game, to reach the crash site of a comet. There are three new repeatable quests: a novice introduction, a veteran boss-kill, and an endless darkest-level wave-based challenge. Players will be able to track their kill count and compare it to those of friends and others.

The Color of Madness also adds in a new enemy faction lead by the Miller, who is one of two confirmed new bosses. Players will be able to create resupply consumables from items dropped between waves of combat, while new Comet Shards can be traded for new trinkets through a new vendor called the Jeweler. The expansion will also include new music, and other feaures yet to be unveiled.

Finally, Red Hook Studios confirmed that the Crimson Court and Shieldbreaker DLC will be released for iPad today. The Crimson Court DLC will cost $4.99 and the Shieldbreaker DLC will cost $1.99, with the base game being made avaialble for just $0.99 for a week to celebrate.
