Publisher Curve Digital has announced that it is teaming up with IronOak Games to release the latter's strategy RPG For the King, With the announcement comes news that the game will be fully released for PC and Mac on Steam in April 2018, having been in Early Access for just over a year, and will also be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in early 2019. The Steam version will remain priced at $14.99 during Early Access, with those who buy the Early Access version also receiving the full version when it launches, but will rise to $19.99 at launch.

For the King was initially crowdfunded through Kickstarter in 2015. The game combines strategy RPG with tabletop and roguelike gameplay elements. Players are tasked with defending the kingdom of Fahrul after its king is murdered by an unknown attacker, and can choose to split their party in order to try and deal with multiple threats at once.
