Auroch Digital and Ripstone Games have teamed up with tabletop games publisher Modiphius to release a video game adaptation of the latter's Actung! Cthulhu universe. Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics is a hybrid of strategy and RPG, and though Ripstone Games has provided the funding to create the single-player campaign, the companies are turning to Kickstarter in order to add extra features to the game.

Actung! Cthulhu combines World War II and the Cthulhu Mythos for its setting, with a band of Allies fighting a secret war against the Nazi's Black Sun and Nachtwolfe, who are using the Mythos' ancient secret and beings to try and achieve victory. In Tactics, players control a squad stuck behind enemy lines as they try to foil a Nazi plot.

The game will adapt Modiphius' 2d20 system, with successful attacks adding to a momentum pool, which can be used for special actions. Light and dark will also play important roles and add extra tactical dimensions; the light will assist the Allies, while the Nazis and Mythos creatures work best in the darkness.

Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics has already passed its initial £10,000 funding goal, which will see the Native America Pathfinder Demonhunters added to the game on the side of the Allies, though extra stretch goals have been revealed. The game is being developed for PC and is initially planned for release in Q4 2018. Those who pledge at least £20 (around $28/€22) will receive a copy of the game as part of their backer rewards, with the campaign ending on March 4, 2018.
