THQ Nordic and publisher Versus Evil have have reached a deal that will allow THQ Nordic to produce physical editions of Obsidian Entertainments' upcoming RPG Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. The game is set to arrive later this year for PC and Mac.

Deadfire returns players to the world of Eora in a new land: the Deadfire Archipelago. Players will travel to this archipelago to seek out the god Eothas, who awoke beneath the player's stronghold and destroyed it soon after. Players will be able to transfer their saved games and characters from the first game, influencing the story. New companions will also be available as well as a few returning ones.
