Update — Nippon Ichi Software also released a new four-minute trailer, which can be viewed at the bottom of this article. The game's release date has also been corrected.
Nippon Ichi Software recently released more information about its upcoming title Anata no Shikihime Kyoudoutan, also known as Your Four Knight Princesses Training Story. The new details concern the game's main protagonist, coming with a new batch of screenshots.
As previously detailed, players control a knight instructor tasked with training the princesses of four island kingdoms. The instructor is a silent protagonist and has various customisation options provided at the start. These options include the gender as well as a selection of face designs, action voices, and personality types. None of these have any major impact on the game itself, though the princess may respond slightly differently to the personality type.
The instructor uses a one-handed sword in combat, which has a narrow range but allows for quick consecutive attacks. There is also a limited-use special attack that attacks in all directions. As the instructor trains the princesses, the player obtains items that are used to enhance the princess' abilities and also grant the instructor skill points. These points can be used to enhance the instructor's attributes. Players also have access to a guidance diary.More entries are added as progress is made and, when the princesses reach certain attribute goals, the diary provides more information about the world, princesses, and tips useful for various stages.
Anata no Shikihime Kyoudoutan is being developed for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch with Japanese release date of March 8, 2018. No announcement has been made regarding a possible western release.
